Endangered species:Elephants

  Elephants are threatened

   Elephants lives in africa and in Asia.

  How many elephants are left on earth? 96 elephants are killed by people every day in Africa,one every 15 minutes is slaughter.   

  In the past ,Men used to steal Elephants for their Ivory tusks.

• In 1930,there were between 5 and 10 million african elephants.

• Tusks have been used in jewelry, piano keys, signature seals, and other items.

   

                    

 

 

 

 

Poor Elephants,they used to eat  grass and stay together.

Their species are threatened because their time of pregnancy are long (2 years) .Elephants are herbivorous and can be found in different habitats including savannah, forests, deserts and marshes.Today,we can see theim in zoo protected by instructors.
